I woke up Saturday morning with every intention to lay in bed all day watching netflix however my boyfriend had other plans. He brought me breakfast in bed and then ordered me to get myself dressed and ready to head into London.
I curled my hair and did my make up before getting dressed. I wasn’t too sure what we were going to end up doing but I decided to wear a pair of blue high waisted jeansblue high waisted jeans from pull and bear, a flowery blouse from Zara. I wore my black heeled ankle boots from asos and put on my leather jacket from next – although I wish I didn’t, it was so sunny! I also carried my little shoulder bag from pull and bear. I was pretty happy with my outfit choice until we were finished walking around London all day and my feet were so achy!
We started out by heading to Hackney to visit the vegan food festival which, whilst it was a lot smaller than I had expected, it was really good. We walked around for a bit, looked at the shops and bought some food. We picked up a pepper and sweetcorn savoury roll, a ‘scotch eggless’ and a peppermint cream brownie. We really enjoyed the savoury roll and the brownie was incredible but the scotch eggless was not quite to our taste!
Once we had finished shopping and munching, we decided to walk around the park and wander around some shops. We enjoyed wandering for a bit before we hopped onto a bus and arrived at the V&A museum of childhood. I’m not really one for museums but I did really enjoy looking at all of the old children’s toys and especially loved looking around the Michael Morpurgo exhibition.
We finished off the day by heading to Westfield to grab some burritos from tortilla and do a bit more shopping. By the end of the day we were both so exhausted that we could have had a nap there and then when we got on the train! Luckily we didn’t and we managed to get off at our stop. We jumped in the car and drove home from the station and I had loads of fun playing with my new pens in my bullet journal and watching movies together.
Whats your favourite way to spend a Saturday?
