It’s October 1st and I love me some fall – or autumn because I’m English. It’s my absolute favourite season because it’s an excuse to get all cosy, get your coats and jumpers out and light those candles! What better way to celebrate the start of my favourite month than to share my favourite things to do!

1. Pumpkin Picking
I had never really thought of pumpkin picking as something that you could do without children, but my boyfriends mum suggested we go a couple of years back and she was so excited, who was I to turn her down. We all wrapped up with our jumpers and scarfs and wellies and headed down to the local pumpkin patch. We actually had so much fun looking at all the different types of pumpkins and choosing which ones we wanted to decorate our houses and bake with. I’ve been to that same pumpkin patch for the past couple of years but this year I want to branch out – I will of course be going back to my favourite but I’d like to try out a couple of others too! Let me know your favourite pumpkin patches in the Cambridgeshire area!
2. Apple picking
This is along a very similar theme, but I was reading the blog Witty Wildflower and she mentioned that she would like to go apple picking this year and I thought it was such a good idea! I’ve never been so would definitely like to find a nice farm to pick some apples and then come home and make a crumble!
3. Have a spooky movie night
I’m not a big fan of scary movies at all – I’m way too much of a wimp! I do however love a very slightly spooky disney movie like hocus pocus! I can’t wait to get my snuggly pyjamas on and cosy up with some candles lit to watch my favourite spooky movies. I’m getting excited just thinking about all the fall snacks I want to make..

4. Take some autumnal photos
My boyfriend is a photographer – he’s more into dogs and scenery than people but sometimes I can convince him to come and do a photoshoot for me and I love it. I especially love it at fall time where I can wear something cosy and play in the leaves! I can’t wait to get some great photos to share on here and instagram this year!
