Glossybox Unboxing | October 2020

Hi guys, I’m getting this one up slightly earlier this month and I’m so excited! This is such a cool box not only because the box itself is beautiful but also because I’m really excited about the products inside.

This box has a product value of £57 plus a little chocolate treat which I really enjoy that they have started adding in because I definitely didn’t used to get that when I had previously subscribed! There are three full sized products and two ‘deluxe’ mini’s. I think that all of the full sized products are things I would have actually picked out myself which is good and then the minis will be nice to try out and see if it’s something I’m interested in.

I’m quite excited about this because I’ve heard of it before but have never tried it (or anything from illamasqua for that matter) so I’m excited to give it a go. It sounds like it’s full of good stuff for your skin to get it prepped and ready for make-up. It smells really nice, it’s quite a nostalgic smell that I can’t put my finger on but I’m super excited to try it out and see how I get on with it.

This is a full sized product and 100% something I would buy. I love a bath and love trying different products in there to make it feel nice and relaxing and this sounds perfect! It smells incredible and, of course, lavender is great for all these uncomfortable, sleepless nights that come with the end of pregnancy. I think this would make a perfect stocking filler for Christmas too – no it’s never too early to be thinking about Christmas!

I find that I don’t really wear any lipstick in the summer because I’m just too hot but I do like a lipstick in the Autumn/Winter seasons. I haven’t yet tried wearing lipstick with a mask though so we will see how that goes but even for a nice winter walk, I do love a nice lip colour. I’m guessing the colour name is Pixie as that’s all it says but it’s a really pretty red colour but not too bright red which can sometimes be a bit much. I think this is one of those perfect lip colours to go with a big chunky knit jumper for autumn/winter and I can’t wait to wear this.

Apparently, this under eye cream is basically magic in a tube for hiding dark circles and puffy eyes so this is pretty much the perfect thing to try for this mumma to be as I have no doubt that dark circles and puffy eyes are very imminent! It doesn’t really have a scent at all but I’m excited to give it a go and see how it holds up!

This blush is in such pretty packaging and the colours are gorgeous. I’m really excited to wear this. The only thing is that it is quite sparkly which is something I would usually stay away from with a blush but I’m going to try it and see how I feel. I guess I could always try and put a bit of matte powder over it to dull the sparkle a little bit but to be honest it’s almost Christmas so if there’s ever a time that you need a bit of sparkle, it’s now!

All in all, I think Glossybox smashed it this month! From the box design to the actual products, I’m so happy and I think it’s well worth the money. I do usually find that there’s quite a lot of products that I would have never chosen myself and don’t think I’ll get much use out of but this month I think I’m going to use every single thing so that’s great!

Did you get this month’s Glossybox? Which was your favourite product?

Love, Alice and bump x
