I’m so excited to be able to write this post because I feel like it’s been such a long time coming! I restarted my subscription to glossybox back in July but unfortunately the July boxes had sold out so my first box was due to be in August. Unfortunately, there was an issue with my delivery so I never ended up getting my August box so this has been my first box since I used to subscribe about three or four years ago.
The theme of this months box was ‘spa’ so the products are supposed to be all relaxing and pampering for an at home spa experience. The box itself was the classic Glossybox pink with black writing and I personally love the boxes because they’re so handy for so many things and they’re super pretty.
AMELIORATE INTENSIVE SKIN THERAPY 30ML – RRP £15
This product is described as a ‘non-greasy balm’ for troublesome areas. It specifically says not to use on your lips or eyes but otherwise it sounds like its good for any dry spots. It smells kind of like medicated creams and ointments but it’s not horrible. I would definitely say it’s a more creamy texture than balmy but I’m excited to try it and see if it really is a miracle balm!
MINETAN COFFEE SCRUB 30G – RRP £9.99/200G
I’m not hugely excited about this because I’m really not a fan of the coffee scent so I’m hoping this doesn’t smell too strongly like coffee but we will have to wait and see.
WISHFUL YO GLOW ENZYME SCRUB 20ML – RRP £34/100ML
I’m still not 100% sure what this is for but it sounds like you use it to wash your face before putting your makeup on to give you a smoother base? I’m hoping that’s right anyway! I actually really like the packaging and it smells lovely, I’m not sure what the scent is but it’s very clean and fresh. I’m excited to try this out and see how it is.
IMPERIAL LEATHER FOAM BURST LYCHEE AND LOTUS FLOWER BODY WASH 75ML – RRP £3.15/200ML
I’ve used this before, although a different scent and I love it, it’s leaves your skin feeling really soft and pampered so it was definitely a good choice for a spa box. It does feel a bit cheap compared to some of the other products considering this is £3.15 for the full 200ml bottle and this is only a 75ml bottle! I’m not 100% sure how they come up with the fact this box would retail for £115 – I’m guessing that’s if you bought all the products full size? It’s still a really nice product to have and a handy size for taking away with you.
AVANT SUPREME HYALURONIC ACID ANTIOXIDISING DUO MOISTURISER 50ML – RRP £100
I guess I take back my previous comment, this is where they get the retail price from! This is on the AVANT skincare website for £100 for a 50ml pot although that’s a glass pot and the one in the box is in a plastic tube so I’m not sure if that makes a difference but I’m sure any skincare fans are excited about this one. The product itself is a light blue colour and smells very fresh. I haven’t tried it out properly but I’m hoping it’s going to leave my skin feeling beautiful!
This months box also came with a little bar of Lindt chocolate which is a nice little treat which I really want to eat but since my dinner is cooking right now, I know I should wait!
I’m sorry this post is so late into the month considered my October box should be arriving fairly soon! For now though, I’m excited to go and try out these products and I’m sure you’ll spot some of them in an empties post soon so you can see what I thought after trying them out.
